Based on the length of my videos these days, I’m starting to consider calling them #3MinBookReviews instead of #2MinBookReviews. This was another excellent book that left me with mixed feelings. Watch below to find out why.
Have you read The Great Alone? If so, what did you think of it?

I loved The Great Alone! Large Marge in particular. I loved how things wound up in the end. One of my fave 2018 reads.

Suzanne Sellner says:
While The Great Alone was difficult reading in places because of the abuse, the book was fascinating and well worth the read. There were many positives to counteract the difficult portions. Kristin Hannah is an excellent writer, and the other book by her that I’ve read and also loved is The Nightingale. It is outstanding!

I loved Large Marge too! It will probably end up on my “Best Books of the Year” list, but it’s wasn’t the most enjoyable, if that makes sense.

I thought it was fascinating too, Suzanne. I loved the look at Alaska homesteading and their community. It was indeed hard reading.

I was carried away by The Great Alone! It was my first book by the author as well. I liked several of the characters, but thought the ending was too neatly tied up with a bow.
